There are many ways to make money online. There are also many ways to lose money online. I've been blessed with tremendous success online, and I'd like to point you to some of the methods that really work!
I am constantly asked by friends, associates, customers, and complete strangers for advice about how to make money on the internet. I don't like to talk about exactly how much money I've made, but I don't mind telling people that I'm doing well online. God has blessed me, and I'm not afraid to tell people about it. Most of the time when I mention the type of success I've had, people instantly want a piece of the action...
I can't blame them for wanting to know how to do it, but the problem is that I just don't have the time to mentor everyone into becoming a successful internet marketer. However, I do want to see other people find financial freedom, and that's why I've created this page.
For those who need additional one-on-one advice, I do offer business consulting for an hourly fee (details at bottom of this page), but for the most part you should be able to get a good start just by following my free advice.
Why should you listen to what I have to say? Well really I don't care if you listen to me or not. If you want to take my advice on this page, and make the best of it; great. If you already have it figured out on your own without my help, that's even better. I hope you understand, I didn't post those to boast about my income. I know guys who are making 10 to 20 times as much just from ONE of the affiliate programs pictured. The reason I posted those screen shots is just to let you know that you can trust this info as being from someone who is actually making money and not just talking about it.
As I mentioned, there are MANY ways to make money on the internet. However, that doesn't mean you should try to do them all. Here's my first piece of free advice:
Focus on one thing at a time. As someone who is perpetually plagued by new ideas, I've often strayed off course and wasted my time trying to start too many new things while finishing nothing. There is absolutely no way you can tackle all of these money-making opportunities all at once.
You need to pick ONE, and focus on it. Learn it, and become successful at it. If you find that it doesn't work for you, or if you don't like it, then move on to another plan. You should develop several opportunities into multiple income streams, but again--take it one at a time!
With that bit of advice out of the way, I'm going to present the various ways that I've been able to successfully make money on the web. Feel free to explore all of the information before you decide which opportunity you want to start with. Then pick one, and put your full effort into it.
This is not going to be a "pitch-fest" of hundreds of different products and services. These are the resources that I would direct my own family members to, if they were to ask me for advice. There are some things that you will need to spend money on in order to be successful. Fortunately, the startup costs are minimal compared to a traditional offline business.
The difficult part is sifting through the millions of pages of junk on the internet, searching for the truth. I believe this list of resources will point you in the right direction, and save you hours, months, and maybe even years of trial-and-error. I am personally recommending these opportunities and websites, and I want you to let me know if you have problems with any of them.

1) eBay - The eBay opportunity is the first thing that really worked for me online. Since eBay is so huge, I'm sure you've heard about it, and chances are good that you've seen some hype about getting rich on eBay. Here's the bottom line: eBay is the single biggest online marketplace, and millions of dollars are being transacted daily.

2) Web Hosting Business - Every day there are thousands of websites added to the world wide web. And guess what? EVERY single one of those sites has to have a host! When I realized this, I decided that web hosting was a good business to be in, and I quickly grew a small reseller account into a serious business and a big income.

3) Affiliate Marketing - It wasn't until I learned the secrets of affiliate marketing that I truly understood the power of the web. I've developed dozens of "mini-sites" which promote products and services, and earn income for me while I'm sleeping. Most of the commission statements above are a result of affiliate marketing. Hydra Network (aka Lynxtrack) - Hydra Media is a leading performance-based affiliate publisher network. Quick, easy and free signup.
PayDotCom - A great affiliate program developed by marketing guru Michael Filsaime. I like it because it uses PayPal and StormPay.
4) Google AdSense - This is one of the best ways to build up a passive income stream online. You simply sign up with Google, display their ads on your site, and each time someone clicks an ad YOU get paid. AdSense Gold - An ebook written by my marketing friend Jonathan Leger. I personally receive a healthy paycheck from Google each month, but this guy has it figured out like none other. Just take a look at the screen shot on his site and you'll see that he pulls in $40k per MONTH just from AdSense!
AdSense Kingdom - A good source of free information about AdSense, including some good techniques and tips.
5) Ebooks & Information Products - I've made money writing ebooks, and I've also made money selling ebooks I didn't write. The great thing about ebooks is that they are an "information product". Whereas a book at a bookstore might sell a book for $10 and the author makes $1 from it, you can sell that same information online for $40 and it's pure profit for the author.

6) List Building - The big time marketing guru's will tell you that "the money is in the list". Although it seems obvious to me now, I didn't discover the importance of list-building until long after I had become a succesful online marketer. I shudder to think of how much more money I would have made if I had focused on building my list earlier on in the game.
If you build your list the right way, your bills will always be paid, and you'll have a recession-proof income because you'll have a responsive group of devoted followers. To learn exactly how to do it, I would recommend reading this...
Stephan Ducharme - This course teaches you how to get web traffic for free by utilizing other people's opt-in lists to build your own list. I've seen some people trash-talking this book because Stephan is cocky, but I personally bought it and found it to be one of the best list-building tutorials I've found. Just ignore his self promotion and stick to the principles it teaches.
Once you're ready to start building your list, you need the most reliable and yet affordable autoresponder service you can find. This is hands-down the best service I've found, and I use them for all of my own lists...
Aweber - This is the company that most of the big names in internet marketing use. There's a reason! You don't want to trust your list to just anyone--use Aweber.
One last piece of advice - This applies to each and every one of the opportunities listed above. You need to specialize and focus on a NICHE. The internet is just too big, and there's too many people competing... it's not possible for many of us to rule the huge markets. That's why we need to specialize.
You can have many different niches, but once again you should take it one step at a time and develop one niche before adding another. I would suggest starting with something you're passionate about. Let's say for example, you love "fishing". You can literally apply your niche to any opportunity...
Become known as a fishing expert on eBay who specializes in fishing gear.
Develop a web hosting company catering to people in the fishing industry like guides, charter boat owners, resorts, tackle shops, etc.
Become an affiliate marketer of fishing-related products. Use your own "expertise" to lend credibility and provide personal endorsements for the products you're promoting.
Write an ebook about how to catch a certain type of fish, etc.
Create a software program for fishermen, to track weather, tides, hatch patterns, etc.
Obtain resale-rights to an existing fishing ebook and sell it on your own site.
Create a targeted email list of fishermen, who will respond well to fishing-related offers.
Obviously fishing is just one small example, but the principle can be applied to just about any niche you are interested in. Choose a niche, establish yourself as an expert, make money! It's as easy as that.
